Our End of Grade (EOG) testing week is coming upon us.  We need more proctors! Please consider proctoring on at least one of days. Below you will find the list of specific dates.  While proctoring is certainly not an exciting job, it’s essential to providing all students with a positive testing environment. As a Wiley family, we look forward to another opportunity to pull together to support our students, staff and school!

~ (Repeat) EVAAS roster verification - Roster verification for teachers opens April 21, and you will receive an email soon with directions for doing so. In an effort to minimize the amount of “cleaning up” that is necessary on my end to balance out student percentages, we will work together on the workday (May 12) to complete this task. It should be quick, and all providers claiming a percentage of your students should be present to ensure that every student is claimed 100%. If you’d like to begin working on your percentages, that’s great … just know that we will work together to finalize the rosters.

~ (Repeat) Cohort Learning Share-Out - Each cohort will provide a 10-15 minute presentation to showcase their new learning beginning at 10:30am on Friday, May 12. Please be sure to highlight implications of your new learning on your instructional practices AND provide clear examples for ways others can replicate your work. Any mode of presentation will work! PDPs: For all teachers (besides BTs), be sure to have your EOY reflection and data entered into your PDP prior to May 12th, when we will be signing off on plans. Thanks!

Magnet Updates
  • RED NOSE DAY - May 25
    • What an amazing way to show our students how we as adults do things to give back. This great cause in on a mission to end child poverty.
    • Through the power of entertainment, Red Nose Day raises awareness and money to help the kids who need us most, both at home and around the world.
    • To learn more check out the website https://rednoseday.org/  or take a moment to watch this video https://rednoseday.org/ed or this one.
    • So who is in? Walgreens is selling the red noses for $1 (50 cents of each nose will go to this cause, the rest covers the cost of the red nose).  I will go to Walgreens to get some by the end of this week.  If you do not have a Walgreens near you and would like me to pick one up for you let me know.

  • GRAFFITI WALL- What I Have to Share With Others...My journey begins right here, right now.
    • As a grade level think creatively how you might want to fill your grade levels light bulb on the graffiti wall to answer the question above.  It could be each class has a puzzle piece of the bulb that they fill, it could be a collage of drawings/pictures put together, it could be positive or any other ideas that come to mind. Please complete this before May 19.

  • LAST DAY FOR STUDENT CHECKOUT IS MAY 19 - After May 19 students will be expected to start returning their books.  We will have a fun contest to see which homerooms can return their books the quickest.  I will also collect library cards/shelfmarkers the week following.  Students will be re-issued their library cards next year.
