General Updates
~ Volunteer Breakfast - Please use this link to sign up for your contribution to the annual volunteer breakfast that we’re hosting for our incredible Wiley volunteers. The breakfast is Monday, June 5th.

EOG Updates (Please read carefully!)

  • COPIER in the LOUNGE: Please remember that the lounge will be used for testing all throughout next week. This means that for security purposes, while testing materials are out, the copy machine will be turned off. Please plan ahead and make your copies for the week before hand. You can make copies early before school or at the end of the day. If you have a copying emergency, you can use the duplicator in the first grade workroom or the copier in the office (limited amounts.) Thank you for your flexibility!!

  • NOISE in Hallway and Playground: Please remember the EOG’s will be taking place on every floor in every building.  Please be mindful of hallway noise and remember no use of the K-2 playground during testing.  An announcement will be made so you know that testing is complete.  Thank you!

  • HALLWAY and CLASSROOM DISPLAYS: If the display contains content being measured on an EOG (math, ELA, science) or has Tips for Taking Tests or is helpful in any way (word lists, word walls, definitions, writing formulas, multiplication tables, number lines, formulas, etc.) then it MUST be covered or removed. Not removing them will result in a misadministration so if it doubt cover it up or take it down.

  • Morning Duty:  If you do not have a morning duty or finish your morning duty early, please take some time to check in on Breakfast Duty and Carpool Duty to see if they need any help, since both Kristin and Eman will be getting testing materials ready.  THANK YOU!

  • GENERAL EOG REMINDERS:
    • Make sure to allow students to use the restroom as they arrive to school before testing.
    • Make sure you have enough seating in the room you are testing in and that you have access to a clock in your testing room.
    • Make sure all cell phones are turned off and put away.
    • If you take your admin guides to read and highlight at home this weekend it is important that you bring them back on Testing day to use during the testing session.

IRT/Literacy Updates

  • Materials for Shredding: Please bring all Case21, Read to Achieve Instructional Passages (3rd grade) and old PEP/IEPs down to my office to be shredded.

  • Benchmark Windows Closing:
    • NKT (Kindergarten & 1st grade) closes on June 2nd.
    • mClass closes on June 5th.

  • Read to Achieve Camp Invitations:
    • 1st and 2nd grade: Please put any slips that are returned in my mailbox DAILY. Please do not wait until the end of the week to hand your slips in. Thank you!
    • 3rd Grade: Once the ELA EOGs are scored you will receive invites to send home with your students who are eligible for camp. Please keep an eye out.

  • (REPEAT) Student Information Cards (reminder): Please have these completed by Tuesday, June 6th. On Tuesday, teams will meet in the Media Center during your planning to create class lists using these cards. Please see below for a few clarifying points and additions:
  • In the Special Education section, Related Services: please specify OT or PT if applicable.
  • For AIG: please circle AIG ELA and/or AIG Math if applicable.
  • In the Easi Data section: please indicate what type of Tier II/Tier III Intervention Plan the student has by marking L, M and or B (Literacy, Math, Behavior)
  • In the Comments section: Use this if you know a student will be moving. Please be intentional with your comments and stay away from evaluative statements and include only data, facts and student needs.

Magnet Updates
  • Hallway Display’s - Please make sure hallway display’s that are reading, writing, math or science related are covered or removed for the EOG’s. Otherwise please remove all other hallway display’s by the end of the school year.  Thank you!

Media & Technology
  • All student books are now due! - First class in each grade level to return all their books wins a popsicle party!  For an update, check the media center doors. Inventory is complete so there are no student books on the shelves.
  • Please start returning teacher books - Teachers may continue checking out books until the end of the year.  However, please return any books you are no longer using.
  • Library Cards - Please return all library cards/shelf markers to Lynn.  We will reuse them next year
  • Equipment Issues (repeat) - If you have any issues with any technology items please let Lynn know ASAP.
  • Printing - Please be aware of what you are sending to the media center printers.  Use the color printer for color only.  Please don’t print class sets to the printer.
