Shout-Outs & Celebrations
(Consider sharing your shout-out!)
- Carolyn and the fifth grade team have given so much of their energy to a student in crisis. Thank you!
- Fourth Grade collected gently used books to send to schools that suffered damage from Hurricane Matthew. Way to take action!
- K team has swooped into action to help us prepare for Tuesday’s media event. Amazing flexibility and willingness to jump in to support the cause … thank you!
- AND, thanks to Katie for volunteering to serve as our substitute choir master for Tuesday's event in Angi's absence. (It's wonderfully helpful to have an Assistant Principal that can do just about anything!)
- Many thanks to Judy and our Wiley Pals for a fabulous “community event” this past week.
- Shout Out to Lynne for taking over the Monday Chinese Rotation! Thank you!

Time of performances

IRT/Literacy Updates
- ***NOVEMBER IRT UPDATE: Please click HERE to access the November update. It is filled with important information so please take the time to read through it. If you have any follow up questions regarding the updates, please let me know.
- Interim and Report Card Dates: Looking ahead, HERE are the upcoming dates for interims and report cards. As we near December 5th for Quarter 2 Interim reports, I will post reminders/updates in this blog.
- (REPEAT) TRC Progress Monitoring:
- Kathy Foglia and I have the grade level (K-3) progress monitoring kits. If you have a student who needs progress monitoring for TRC, please see one of us so we can get you started.
Magnet Updates
- Student Ambassadors:
- Please make sure your student Ambassador is ready to greet our tours and explain something you are working on. The classes that have put this in effect have really impressed our parents and it has been great watching our students take leadership roles! (Remember to have an ambassador in each homeroom as well as Language and Electives.)
- Hallway Display for Q2:
- If I haven’t already, I will be checking in with your grade level to see what your plan is for Q2. As usual if you want ideas or a helping hand please reach out, I am always glad to help!
Media & Technology
- Reminder: Students will report to the Media Center instead of Chinese for Monday Rotations. They do not need any materials.
- (repeat) WILEY iPADS - Apple IDs and Passwords (Updated Nov 10th)
- Please see Kathy/Chris before resetting any account settings on a Wiley iPad
- Do NOT update to iOS 10 - there are many issues right now.
