Early Release – Friday, September 9:
o
Lunch
is provided by 4th grade parents and will be set-up in the
professional learning space (aka lounge) at 12:20. If you wish to eat prior to dismissal, feel
free to provide coverage for each other to run down to the lounge to fix a plate.
o
All
classes will eat in their classrooms. Lunch schedule can be found on Wiley
Playbook tab.
o
There
will be no specials/languages on this day as electives/language teachers will
be finalizing classes. However, Language/Specialist buddies (morning push-in buddy) should coordinate with the grade level team with whom they work to provide assistance/bathroom break for classroom teachers.
o
Staff
development is scheduled from 2pm – 4pm.
Dr.
Rupert Nacoste will be with us to present a short session that aligns with
our continued learning around communication, equity, and racial bias. After his
presentation, individuals will begin creating teams for 2016/17 learning
cohorts utilizing student data and backward design model.

From YMCA:
With the school year cranking up and staff meetings and several Early Release Days just around the corner, I wanted to be sure that I provided you with information about teacher coupons for our YMCA programs to share with your staff!
If a teacher wishes to use a coupon for YMCA child care, they will need the following 3 things:
1. Youth Information Form (YIF) – can be found in YMCA mailbox
· One YIF per child
2. Teacher Coupon – can be found in YMCA mailbox
· One per care session
3. Payment
· Cash or check only (if paying in cash, exact change is appreciated!)
· Cost
i. Before School = $6.95/day
ii. After School = $10.89/day
· Payment should be attached to coupon and presented to Program Director (Adam Ballance) or YMCA Program Leadership Staff (Before School—Danielle Warren; After School—Jordan Diard) at the time of care (or earlier, if possible).
Remember, we must have all 3 of the abovementioned items in order to provide care!
