From YMCA:
With the school year cranking up and staff meetings and several Early Release Days just around the corner, I wanted to be sure that I provided you with information about teacher coupons for our YMCA programs to share with your staff!
If a teacher wishes to use a coupon for YMCA child care, they will need the following 3 things:
1.    Youth Information Form (YIF) – can be found in YMCA mailbox
·         One YIF per child
2.    Teacher Coupon – can be found in YMCA mailbox
·         One per care session
3.    Payment
·         Cash or check only (if paying in cash, exact change is appreciated!)
·         Cost
                                    i.    Before School = $6.95/day
                                  ii.    After School = $10.89/day
·         Payment should be attached to coupon and presented to Program Director (Adam Ballance) or YMCA Program Leadership Staff (Before School—Danielle Warren; After School—Jordan Diard) at the time of care (or earlier, if possible).
Remember, we must have all 3 of the abovementioned items in order to provide care!

Hand Sanitizer:  Our evening cleaning team wishes to let you know that hand sanitizer that falls on the tile/linoleum floor strips the wax. As students “distribute” sanitizer, please try to restrict it to areas with carpet. Less damage is done when it falls on the carpet.

Evening cleaning:  Please make note of the evening cleaning schedule and general reminders below.
o   Tuesdays – wet mop – chairs up in art room and areas in classroom with tile
o   Wednesday & Fridays – vacuum – please put chairs on tables
o   Thursday – dry mop
o   Daily – place trash cans in hallway at end of day
o   Daily – pick up pieces of trash, pencils, etc. from floor

Technology Help Requests:  Form for requesting technical assistance is found on the Wiley Playbook on the bottom of the page with Daily Schedules

  • Hallway Display for Q1:
    • Don’t forget to start setting up your hallway display with a title/description and begin some sort of background for what your Q1 unit might include.
    • Things to Think About:
      • Possibly setting up display as a grade level vs. as a class.
      • Include what will go in hallway and where as part of your planning.
      • Selecting different items related to the same theme/unit to display for different students.  (Example: Students 1-6 you display their writing, Students 7-12 you display a diagram or picture they made, Students 13-18 you display some math work, etc…) In the end something for every student is in the hall but not the same thing is in the hall over and over.
      • Put some sort of border, backing or matting behind each student work.
      • Do not hang them in a straight line, try to offset them.
      • Include at least one 3D item per grade level.
      • Make sure it looks neat (especially if you use butcher paper, make sure it is cut neatly or folded to hide the uneven edge.
      • Don’t do it all in one day break it up so you do a part each week until you have it all complete.
